Flea and Tick Treatment for Dogs

Simparica kills adult fleas, and is indicated for the treatment and prevention of flea infestations, and the treatment and control of tick infestations from Lonestar ticks, Gulf Coast ticks, American dog tick, black-legged ticks and brown dog ticks for one month in dogs 6 months of age or older and weighing at least 2.8 pounds.

  • For dogs 6 months and older that weigh 2.8lbs or more.
  • Requires a prescription

Usual Dose
Simparica is given orally once a month at the recommended dosage of 0.91 mg/lb (2nmg/kg).

Precautions

  • Tell your vet if your dog is pregnant or lactating
  • Talk to your vet if your pet has a history of seizures
  • May cause vomiting, diarrhea or low energy levels.  Talk to your vet if these side effects are severe or worsen over time.
