Astringent-Antiseptic Topical OintmentZinc Oxide Ointment is a protective astringent and antiseptic ointment for topical application to aid in the management of superficial wounds and abrasions of horses, cattle, sheep and swine.
Rugby Zinc Oxide Ointment is used to help dry the oozing and weeping of poison oak, poison ivy and poison sumac in people. Zinc Oxide helps also to treat and prevent diaper rash by protecting the chafed skin and sealing out wetness.
Directions: Thoroughly cleanse and dry area of skin to be treated. Apply ointment directly to wound with spatula or first place on piece of gauze. Protect treated area to prevent licking.
Active Ingredient: Zinc Oxide 20%
Inactive Ingredients: Mineral Oil, Petrolatum
Precautions: Avoid getting into eyes or on mucous membranes. In case of deep puncture wounds consult veterinarian. If redness, irritation, or swelling persists or increases, discontinue use and consult veterinarian. Zinc Oxide should be used with caution in pets as it can be toxic if licked.
