Talk to your veterinarian about any other drugs your dog is taking before starting this medication.
Do not use in pets with hyperkalemia (high potassium blood levels), severe kidney disease, acute dehydration, untreated Addison's disease, or hemolysis (breakdown of red blood cells). Use should also be avoided in pets with constipation or heart disease, especially when taking Digoxin.
Potassium Gluconate.
Suggested dose for adults is one tablet per 10 lbs of body weight twice daily. Dosage may be adjusted to satisfy pet's need.

What outcomes can be expected?
RenaPlus should help potassium levels in the blood and in the cells to return to normal. It can take several days to achieve normal potassium levels. RenaPlus usually needs to be given long-term in most cases.
How is it given?
RenaPlus works to treat hypokalemia (low potassium levels) by providing a source of potassium in animals who cannot maintain normal levels on their own.
